About the Project

The new neighbourhood shopping centre will include a state-of-the-art Woolworths supermarket, as well as a range of specialty retailers and service providers. The centre will provide approximately 300 parking spaces and will also be designed to support and facilitate convenient online shopping, with a drive-through “Direct to Boot” facility and a Home Delivery service.

The site at 233 Argyle Street is well-located in the centre of town and adjacent to the railway station.

Access is proposed from Argyle Street, via a new signalised intersection with Valetta Street, and also to the rear of the site from Hoskins Street.

Care will be taken to mitigate impacts on local businesses and residents to ensure the positive benefits of the new store outweigh any potential negatives.
